Q&A: What kind of herbs reduce inflammation inside your ear/s?
Question by ThisorThat: What kind of herbs reduce inflammation inside your ear/s?
I believe I have a severe case of glue ear in both ears, and the doctors have been able to do nothing for me.
If your eustation tubes (and/or area/s behind your eardrum) are inflamed, what kind of herbs or natural things can I do or take to help reduce this inflammation in these areas?
It’s not earwax or anything outside my eardrum, it’s inflamed on the inside keeping everything and all kinds of sticky fluid trapped, making my ears hurt really bad. What are some natural things I can do to help this?

Do a auriculotherapy yourself.
Auriculotherapy facts:
On the ear exist points like in acupuncture, but only in case of a presence of a pain or a functional disorder of some organs.
These points can be recognised as soon as pain or functional disorder is provoked on the body.
These auricular points can be detected eider by the pain sensitivity or with equipment for differential electrical detection.
Today science confirm these facts, that surface of the external ear carries areas (points) of lower resistance, that appear in case of a presence of functional disorder.
Every auricular point corresponds to a well defined part of the body.

What has your doctor or pharmacist suggested to you, and has it helped at all?
I ask because if it’s bacterial you’ll need to get antibiotics. A ruptured eardrum is not good, as that is what an infection (bacterial) can lead to.
In case you’ve been, 2 things, you’ll need something to take the inflammation away and something to help get rid of whatever is built up inside the ear.
Garlic oil. Either buy some or make your own.
An ounce of olive oil, and a clove or 2 of fresh chopped up garlic.
Let it soak for a while (you can use it after a few hours of sitting just make sure you don’t put any garlic pieces in your ear), strain off the garlic pieces in a week or so.
A decongestant is also helpful. If you like choose one from the pharmacy or try to go natural.
Eating Onions, Garlic, Ginger and other spicy foods, Apple Cider Vinegar ingested and vapors inhaled in hot water, steam from a shower, hang head over a pot of hot or simmering water or use a Net pot.
Honey is another effective remedy. Just take a little bit of honey in some hot water.
Edit: Mullein flower ear oil is also excellent. I have not been able to order any in a long time and have had to make my own.
Good luck,
