The one thing that I do know is that if you drink too much, that will affect your ability. Early on in this, one might notice it once in a while after getting plastered. A chronic alcoholic will lose ability to achieve an erection. Although it does come back after awhile sober. Vitamin B and good nutrition helps with alcoholism was the case. If there was another initial cause, I don’t know if diet helps or not.
Also, certain medications, like blood pressure meds, can affect this. The answer, if you are on meds, is to talk with your doctor. Find out if ED can be a side effect with your meds. If so, your doctor may be able to either adjust the dosage or change you to a different med with less occurance of this side effect.
Good luck, dude.
Age and stress can both be issues also. Again, talk with your doctor.

ED can be caused by a loss of adequate blood flow to the blood vessels of the penis. Viagra works by compensating for decreased blood flow that results from lack of Nitric Oxide (NO) production.
Nitric Oxide is synthesized from the amino acid Arginine. The enzyme involved in the synthesis is called Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS). NOS requires a compound called Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) to activate it. Adequate levels of BH4 in the body can depend on having sufficient levels of Vitamin C, Folic Acid (a B-vitamin) and possibly zinc.
Given the above info., it may be helpful to supplement your diet with Arginine (about 3 grams/day), Vitamin C, Folic Acid and possibly zinc.
Additionally, many other nutrients play important roles in good blood vessel health, such as: Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin E, Potassium, Thiamin (Vitamin B1), Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6), etc. Therefore, a good multivitamin/mineral supplement may also be appropriate.
Best wishes and good luck!
